Hey, loomers. I was hoping someone could help me translate this
pattern into plain english. I need to make a scarf for my daughter by
wednesday, which is her birthday, and I just found this in a book I've
got on my computer. Any help would be great, especially as I know I'm
bound to have a few false starts.

Pattern For A Scarf

Crochet cast on 10 pegs.

Row 1: Slip peg 10
knit to end of row

Row 2: Slip peg 1
P8
K1

Row 3: Rep row 1.

Row 4: Rep row 2.

Row 5: Slip peg 10
knit peg 9
purl peg 8
knit pegs 7-4
purl peg 3
knit pegs 2-1

Row 6: Slip peg 1
knit peg 2
purl peg 3
knit pegs 4-7
purl peg 8
knit pegs 9-10

Rep rows 5-6 until scarf reaches 49 inches.

Rep rows 1-4.

Bind off using the flat method and weave in ends.

I know, for most of you, that looks pretty self-explanitory. I'm more
asking, P and K, does that mean Pear and knit respectively? And rep
means repeat, yes? And slip means skip that peg when wrapping?

Thanks, guys

Sirena
