Hi Nella, could you gently warm the wax until it has softened up and gently
wipe it off?
Other than that, I would suggest googling under removing wax from wood.

I know this is off topic, but thought some of you might have some good
suggestions for me.
I spilled candle wax on top of a lovely little display cabinet that was left
to me by my Grandmother. Do any of you have advice on how to get it off
without damaging the wood?
Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
