Hello,
I am using Blanket yarn. It is thick, but I wanted to reinforce the heal and toe. I was not sure how a sock loom worked. Thank you for explaining to me about the shaping.

Basically a sock loom is made to use much thinner yarn so the pegs are much
thinner and spacing is much closer.

What type of yarn are you using and what Brand of looms are you using?

Cindy Woods Looms have a wide selection of looms.  They do begin spacing at
1/4 or 3/8" apart and go from there up to around 3/4" spacing.

If you use sock yarn you need to use one of the sock looms.

You had asked about socks, you still need to turn the heel unless you make
them like a tube sock.

Hello All,Yesterday I contacted the group about looming socks, and got a
great suggestion. When I loom knit socks, I use a 24 peg loom, and shape the
heal, then decrese for the toe. I was told to use two strands of yarn, and
that might help to reinforce the heal or toe, i'm going to try that. I was
just wondering, what is the differince between a sock loom and a 24 peg
loom? Will a sock loom do anything different? Will I still have to shape the
toe or the heal?Thank you all for your help!Daniella!
