Can you ask hubby dear the brand name of this scanner, sounds like what I am
looking for? It appears to save into a word doc. And then Jaws reads it and
you can save or delete it. Thanks.

Terry, my husband found a seventy dollar scanner that works fine with my
speech. So look in this direction instead of paying hundreds if not
thousands of dollars for a fancy scanner. You want one to try that will scan
into your computer so JAWS can read it to you. Then you can decide to keep
it as a document or not.

How to use the scanner is right from the computer. Try that Terry. No I
don't know what commands to use, sorry, gentle hugs, other than your reading
and saving keys.

Thanks for reply. I understand the Document scanner, How to you understand
what you are reading or scanning into your computer? I understand these are
made for sighted people what do you use to know what you are scanning in?

When I purchase a scanner I purchase a document scanner. These are usually
relatively inexpensive. I can't answer your second question since I don't
use JAWS to read documents.

If someone can supply this help, it would be appreciated. I want to purchase
a scanner. Is anyone here using one is using one or knows about this I need
some help. My first question If using one, what type and is it Jaws
compatible? There are many scanners on the market but they will work but not
sure if Jaws will read what is scanned into computer if it is not in a file
Jaws will read. If anyone could give me advice it will help me very much.
