[Nfb-krafters-korner] Want To Know Wednesday

Hello all!

I used to be on this list ages and ages ago and just rejoined a few days 
ago. I enjoy sewing, crochet, gardening and      making new things.

I do volunteer with a couple of things, but the one where crafts and 
volunteering intersect is through mentoring.  I mentor through 
TeamMates, which is a school based program.  I go to the school once a 
week to meet with the young lady I mentor.  We chat and I help her sort 
through adolescent drama.  We also do craft projects while we talk.  
Currently we are working on a fleece tie blanket. We chose that because 
it is easy to stop and start, requires few tools and is easy for me to 
transport back and forth to the school.
