You can make hats, scarves, sweaters, dresses, etc. for stuffed animals who
are otherwise plain.  The colors of the items could represent school or
sports team colors, holidays, or just your favorite color.  If you want to
donate stuffed animals of any type to a hospital, check with that facility
before you put time and effort into the project.  Some hospitals do not
accept stuffed toys.  Social workers, shelters and  churches might welcome
them as gifts for around the holidays.

That would be a good time to make the stuffies.  If you wanted to give them
away, they would be welcome at hospitals for children that are going into
surgery.  

I have a smallhand towel project I want to try.  It has crochet on one end
that forms a 6inch long tab.  It has a button on the tab.  You loop the long
tab through a handle of a cabinet so it would be readily available to wipe
your hands on.  I know that wasn't a very good description but it will have
to do.  Hahaha!

I loom knit hats that I learned from our division and donate them through a
program that is sponsored by the church where our chapter holds meetings.
The church folks give warm garments to those in need. They collect hats,
scarves, gloves, coats, socks, and possibly more. I gave fifteen hats this
winter. I'd like to find a project to do for the warm weather.

This should be interesting. I have been interested in starting a hats for
the homeless group and don't really know how to get organized. All I have
done is start a Facebook page with no posts.

I can't believe that Wednesday is already here.  As you know Wednesday means
I get to exercise my brain.  So, here are my thoughts for the day.

I thought we might get a little head start with Monday night's chat topic.
Next Monday Darian Smith from the community service group is going to tell
us about the division and Its mission.  He's also going to talk about ways
we can serve in our communities.

Do you volunteer in your community?

If so how?

How can we use our love of crafting to help others?

I feel certain that this is going to be a wonderful discussion.  I'm looking
forward to reading my email today.
