This is such a good point.  Often members of the public are used to thinking
of the blind as a volunteer project.  It is good for us to volunteer so that
we can show we are capable of giving back.

Seeing all the different ways the people on this list are giving of
themselves to their community makes me proud.  You are not sitting home
feeling sorry for yourselves and being miserable.  Giving of yourself makes

I loom knit hats that I learned from our division and donate them through a
program that is sponsored by the church where our chapter holds meetings.
The church folks give warm garments to those in need. They collect hats,
scarves, gloves, coats, socks, and possibly more. I gave fifteen hats this
winter. I'd like to find a project to do for the warm weather.

This should be interesting. I have been interested in starting a hats for
the homeless group and don't really know how to get organized. All I have
done is start a Facebook page with no posts.

I can't believe that Wednesday is already here.  As you know Wednesday means
I get to exercise my brain.  So, here are my thoughts for the day.

I thought we might get a little head start with Monday night's chat topic.
Next Monday Darian Smith from the community service group is going to tell
us about the division and Its mission.  He's also going to talk about ways
we can serve in our communities.

Do you volunteer in your community?

If so how?

How can we use our love of crafting to help others?

I feel certain that this is going to be a wonderful discussion.  I'm looking
forward to reading my email today.
