God would i love to make a shawl or a poncho out of that.
That sounds so soft.

Thank you Nella for bringing the questions back to the list.

Now Things need to definitely feel good to me. I like the softer feel in
yarns. The bestest thing I ever made was a shawl that had spun wool with
little beads occasionally placed. The yarn was grey and the beads were
different colors, but I decided to purchase some hand spun rabbit yarn that
was in black. I wove this up on my triangle loom and when I wear it,
everyone pets my shawl. It is so soft...

I purchased only one ball of the bunny fur yarn and when I started weaving I
didn't realize how much it would take. I contacted the lady who spun the
yarn and raised the rabbits and asked her if she had any more of this yarn.
She told me she had 2 balls left and I debated back and forth as it was
expensive and since I purchased the first ball from her she told me she
wanted to be sure I had enough and she sent me the 2 other balls free.

It is so warm and cuddly.

Hi Nella and all,

For me both color and texture are important.
I lost my color perception 25 years ago but still remember colors vividly.
So for every project I make I have an idea of what color and even what shade
I would like. I love my color identifier but I sure wish it would tell me
what the shade is as well. what shade of blue is it, azure, cobalt,
cornflower, denim, royal, navy, or powder? This distinction is important to
me. I can choose a nice coordinating color if I know the shade. Also, when
making clothing, such as the vest I am learning to knit now, I wanted to
know the shade since I know which color shades look best on me. (I research
this years ago.)

But of course color is only one aspect. I am particular about my textures as
well. I like soft yarns and do not like rough textured yarns. I like some of
the bouclé yarns and not others. I prefer beads with interesting shapes,
rather than plain round beads.

I dislike working with glue, I don't particularly like working with clay
either. I guess I don't like sticky and gooey things.

I'm not squeamish however, I love to garden and get my hands in the dirt
regardless of what color and texture it is! <smile>

Have a great day!!
Cathy F
