Hi Bernice, Cortney is correct about the nail clippers. I was thinking about

them when I said nail file. Sorry about that.
Now, I will put a pair of nail clippers in my craft notions bag along with a

nail file and emery board.

Hi Henry,

That would make it very rough, and I am looking for as smooth an edge as
possible.  I try to cut the little nubbies off after someone has cut the
piece to the requested size.  Then I go around cutting the nubbies off, and
sometimes I cut one bar in to the piece.  Also, it hurts my hands to use the
scissors that much.  However, I keep trying.  I asked my son-in-law to cut
the nubbies from the center opening for a Kleenex cover top, and he cut into
it probably more times than I would have.  I probably should investigate
good sharp scissors and different sizes.  The right tool can make all the
difference.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

to remove the nubs on plastic canvas. What do you think Terry p?

Hi Portia,
I like to work with plastic canvus and know a variety of stitches.  The
hardest thing for me is cutting the plastic, and getting the little left
over parts of the bars where you cut trimmed off.

Oh my goodness.
Ttoo many things I want to learn and want to try to make this year as I have
a lot of patterns that are knit, crochet, and loom knit.
I still want to learn how to sew, jewlry making, plastic canvass, and
macromae.
But, I know there are tons I want to learn.
Been busy of late so I hope I can fit in some time to do something this
year.
