[Nfb-krafters-korner] Very disappointed

I have just read the message from Joyce about the table at convention this
year, I am disappointed but I just had to comment, as it is what I do. I
want to first let everyone know, that at the last minute there were a few
people who really tried to pull this together at the last minute. I cannot
say who is at fault at this, I guess it was a little of different people. I
really want to again state, if we all do not take our responsibilities
seriously we disappoint many, and all. Terry P in the last week or so has
really went over and above what she could do to catch the ends that were
falling but it was just too late, but she did make a great try at it and
everyone should know she really tried. I am disappointed that the wonderful
work of our Braille Committee will not be shown at convention and the hours
of work, creating these cards will not be available to many that would
appreciate them. There is no position given, large or small that should be
accepted without the consideration of fully doing the best to do what is
being asked for all those you touch and touching those around the position.
I am the first one to accept things happen and there has only been one
perfect person on this earth and none of us is Him. However, taking an
responsibility that affects others is not one to be entered into without
understanding. I am the person who usually speaks out on this list, I do not
try to hurt feelings but the truth should always be spoken. I am sorry for
this problem and all that are effected going to convention. The Scholarship
Committee, worked to help others get to convention and they accept the
responsibility of working the table and promoting Krafters. I am sorry this
is not a good result to show to the general public at convention as we all
know the annual convention is the same each year. When others go to look for
Krafters in Orlando we will not be there to represent our division.

Respectfully submitted,

Terry Knox

Membership Chairperson.
