[Nfb-krafters-korner] Want To Know Wednesday 7/12/17

Oh, I remember, Ramona. One of my friends read it to three of us girls
after school and on the weekend at school. That was the first book I cried
over. Now I don't even remember why I cried.

One of my favorite ones was Ramona by Helen Hunt Jackson. I also liked Gone
with the Wind, and I read both of those when I was older. At first, I
didn't like Ramona as there was all this description and history. (I was 8
or 9. <g< I usually read above my level when I could get away with it.
Then I skipped about 60 pages and loved the rest of it. When I got older, I
read it again and loved the whole thing--including the first 60 pages.

The first book I ever got that was on talking book was Desperate Hours--I'll
always remember that one!

I Bet you all thought I had forgot again. Lol

Well, I didn't, just a lot going on today and it is too hot to think. Lol

A few weeks ago I read a couple of books by Marguerite Henry, who is a
children's book author.  I loved all of her books when I was a little girl;
she writes about horses and I thought it would be fun to read some of them
again. Any way this got me thinking about other books that I read and loved
as a child and I've been rereading some of them.

So what books did you all read and love as a child?

Do you have a favorite one?

Have you read any of them as an adult?

I look forward to reading your replies and learning what kind of children we
all were.

Nella
