Annette I think the books about Ramona are by Beverly Cleary.  There are
several books about the little girl named Ramona and they are all funny.

Like you I remember my first Talking Book.  I was 7 and was so captivated
the first time I heard it.  The title was Ramona the Pest.  I read it
multiple times.  I was reluctant to send it back until I learned that I
would get another book.  Although I read a fair number of books when Talking
Books came on LP records, it wasn't until they were on cassette tapes that
my reading adventure took off.  Especially when I got my TalkMan.  However,
with access to BARD and BookShare, my reading has truly expanded.  I now
read all types of books.

Jody I think that it's great that you could remember the very first book.

Yes, technology has certainly made access to print materials much, much
easier for us.

Hi Nella,

The first book I ever read on talking books was titled follow my leader. It
came in a big black heavy box with canvas wraps. I remember it very well. I
was eight years old. The first book that I got on my board app on my phone
was follow my leader and I listen to it again. Wow has technology changed
