I wouldn't mind taking a beginners' loom class so long as it is taught in
such a way that the visually impaired can understand it.  Example:  I don't
do well with "figure 8" and terms like that.  I do better with things like
left, right, around toward you, in front of, back of, etc.  It's like when
giving directions.  I know north, south, east, west, northeast, etc., but I
do better and faster with up, down, right, left, around, and so forth.
Weird, I guess, but there it is.  <g<

I could hear in your voice last night that you are very eager to begin loom
knitting.
I am not an instructor and am not an expert by any stretch of the
imagination, but feel free to call me or e-mail me regarding any questions
that might help you to get going.
I was introduced to loom knitting by a sighted person, and although she was
very good at showing me how to do it, I had troubles, and felt like I just
wasn't getting it.
That's when I sought the help of other blind crafters. I felt that a blind
person would know how to describe things to me so I could get it.
My technique has improved, and I am learning more and more things all the
time in the lessons.
Anyway, call me any time and we can talk about it.
