Diane,  That is a great idea.  When I groom my dogs, I let the fur blow
around into the yard for the birds.  I've been told that the birds use it in
such a way that it makes their nest look like pieces of art.  Especially
with the Sheppard's fur.

Linda, when my Mom lived on a ranch she put it outside and the birds would
pick it up for their nests!
