In the video I watched, the instructor used a 24-peg Knifty Knitter or Boye loom. I tried that loom & the finished product was way too loopy for me. I worked it on the Authentic Knitting Board Sock Loom ii using 36-pegs, and it had a tighter weave, which I liked better. The choice is yours. I just recommend the 1/2" gauge because of the tighter weave.

I purchased my loom from Joann.com for less than $20 with a coupon. If you have the Knitting Board All-in-one loom, that will work as well. Please, please, please do not feel you have to purchase a new loom for this class.
I will tell you that most, if not all, of the dishcloth patterns that I will be teaching in the near future will be taught using a loom with 1/2"
spacing.
