Nella, my family were farmers.  They would plan ahead when they had enough
money, and then take a trip in the winter time to Arizona or Florida.
Nowadays, maybe a cruise.  You have to get somebody to feed the animals,
then you can trade and feed theirs. One set of my grandparents milked some
cows and gathered eggs, so they hired a neighbor while they were gone.  The
other set of grandparents did not raise chickens or milk cows, so feeding
was their main thing.  My friend from Texas has quite a few animals.  He
gets the neighbor boys to feed them, and he knows they will be very happy to
greet him when he gets home.  He calls his animals his babies, and he hates
ever to sell them, but he has to or get too many.  But he doesn't want to be
told that they are being butchered, although he knows they will.  So I think
some of us understand. 
I just got back from the farmers' market where they sell everything from
locally produced wine to crafts to produce from many local farms.  We spend
about an hour and a half and covered about a quarter of the sellers.  Great
advertising for the little places and almost like a fair for the buyers. I
bought green onions about an inch in diameter and tender young asperigus.
Now I am dreweling for dinner.

This group sure knows how to plan a dream vacation. Lol

I hardly ever get to go on vacation, unless it is just for a few days.
Farmers rarely take a vacation; farms don't farm themselves. Lol

Someday I'm going to have a real long vacation.

No vacations this year, unless you count Kevin out of town visiting his son
in ND. I am just hanging around with Jake, smile. 

But oh my we have had some wonderful business trips that have included a day
or two of just walking the area and exploring.

Some sort of resort on the ocean with plenty of walking paths, interesting
plants, lots of puppy dogs to cuddle, and time just sitting by the ocean
crocheting being waited on hand and foot. Oh lectures and visiting
historical places, great food and great conversation. Hmm, I think I am
going back to Bermuda. Seriously doesn't this sound like Bermuda?

I'm getting a little concerned about my aging brain.  Yesterday I totally
forgot about posting the want to know Wednesday question.  

So, here it is, late, but not completely forgotten.

Since summer is just beginning, let's talk about vacations.  

Will any of you be taking a vacation and if so where will you be going?

Also what are your dream vacations?

Where would you like to go and what would you want to do?

I can't wait to hear all about both the real and dream vacations.
