[Nfb-krafters-korner] five hour baby sweater help

Hi Lovette,

If I had my baby sweater I would then tell you how many inches wide the yoke
is, and how many inches long it is. Unfortunately my sweater unraveled under
the arm as I was completing the last sleeve. I didn't know how to fix it
myself so threw it away.

If the sweater pattern had been knit from the bottom up, you could have used
Dixie's posted chart giving the measurements for baby sweaters for
different aged babies. However, knitting from the top down, you make the
yoke first which is smaller than the body of the sweater, so there is some
guess work as to how many inches wide the yoke should be. If anyone who has
completed their sweater reads this post, please let Lovette know how wide
your yoke is to help her know how many stitches to cast on.

Sorry, I cannot be of further help on this particular issue Lovette, I am
only a beginner with knitted clothing myself.

Have a great day!!
Cathy F
