Oh, Joyce!  That sounds like me!  Where did you get those needles that are
shipped out fast?

Sounds like we'll have a sweater knitting party sometime soon.  <g<

Hey Folks,

I kept this one behind my lips, but now I can flap them.  I never got the
baby sweater done.  I figured I could do it by memory so I swear I had
started it around 10 times.  Memorial Day weekend when I was at my
daughter's house I spent all day Saturday and into the evening  and it was
not coming out right.  So that evening I gave it up and started knitting a
mitten.  

I have knitted so many of these I could probably do it in my sleep[I can do
it with my eyes closed]LOL

Half way done with one mitten I came home and my son dragged in my tote bags
and left them on my bed.

The next day I heard Mara chewing on something.  Well she chewed the bamboo
tips off 2 circular needles.  The long ones and the short one.  I had one
short one still in the package.

Without knitting needles I was dead in the water.

So Cathy I am ready when ever you are to get started on a baby sweater.  I
now have 2 - 20: inch circs
1 - 16" circ and 1 - 24" circ, so I am ready for it all.  I got these spares
ones from Denice circular needles.

I just love her needles and she ships them out fast, too.

Congratulations, Bernice!!!
I knitted the whole sweater and in class started knitting the sleave, in the
wrong direction.  I finally got all 27 stitches taken out and back on
another needle, so I can knit again!
I think I will hold off until after convention, to tackle the sleaves.  I do
not want to mess up, again.  
That was a big chalange, but I overcame it!
I seam to understand patterns, when someone walks me through it, step by
step, like in this sweater patern!

I think I could do it again, on my own, if the sleaves and buttons come out,
alright!
I like the ridges at the top!
When I joined KK, with just the knowledge of the knit stitch, I never
thought I would be making a baby sweater!!!
Look how many people have advanced from just knowing just one skill to now
knowing many!

Last night I finished the baby sweater while I was listening to the Monday
night chat.  Guess what?  It looks like a baby sweater.  Very cool, but I
want to see the lightening fingers that can knit it in five hours, wouldn't
you?

All kidding aside, it is a very simple attractive sweater.  Now I can go get
some cute buttons for it.

Just as a point of interest, there is a whole book on bard, knitting from
the top down.
