Nella,

Whenever people ask me about my craft work, especially others who are blind,
the first thing is about sighted assistance for things like color. Picking
out clothes and accessories is hard enough, then add on selecting beads,
yarns, paints, papers and such with all the funky color names and my
favorite, numbers, it's a real challenge. And then there are all the vague
descriptions and confusing shade variations, making it more difficult. 

Here's what I think of with these colors. I look forward to other responses.

Azure (light blue)
cerulean (bright greenish blue)

red
magenta (dark purplish red)
vermilion (bright reddish orange)

green
Chartreuse (medium yellow-green)
olive (dark yellowish-green)

yellow
Goldenrod (deep golden yellow)
canary (bright yellow)

brown
taupe (in-between brown and grey)
buff (light yellow-brown)

purple
orchid (bright rich purple)
heliotrope (pinkish purple)
