Gee whiz, Karen.  Were you over checking out Madeira embroidery thread
names?  These are some of the names they are using.  Goldenrod (deep golden
yellow) for this one they have Automun gold, military gold, golden
retreaver, Vegas gold and they go on...
canary (bright yellow) This one is there and baby chick, etc.
Azure (light blue)
They call this one cerulean Frost  (bright greenish blue)

Now with all these color names you go to the place that you got your
embroidery files from and you get a read out like this:

the above is the new name of my embroidery business and Iwill be mailing out

Nella,

Whenever people ask me about my craft work, especially others who are blind,
the first thing is about sighted assistance for things like color. Picking
out clothes and accessories is hard enough, then add on selecting beads,
yarns, paints, papers and such with all the funky color names and my
favorite, numbers, it's a real challenge. And then there are all the vague
descriptions and confusing shade variations, making it more difficult.

Here's what I think of with these colors. I look forward to other responses.

vermilion (bright reddish orange)

Chartreuse (medium yellow-green)
olive (dark yellowish-green)

orchid (bright rich purple)
heliotrope (pinkish purple)
