Hi Everyone, I have a Perkins braille writer that is no longer working, and
while looking for possible repairs, I noticed a few new machines I had not
seen before. There is now an electric Perkins, a light - touch Perkins from
APH, and even a smart Perkins. I don't see any signs of the Next Generation
Perkins that could erase, but I know there were problems with it.

I will get my trusty machine serviced, but am interested in impressions of
these newer machines. Does anyone have one of these? Does the electric
Perkins work just like an electric typewriter? Is it quieter? For the first
time I'm having to rely on a slate, and while it's going okay, I have to say
an electric brailler sounds pretty good!
