I am staying in this general area.  I have to move where the para transit
will pick up, and it has to be all on one level.  My grandson will
andaughter will miss not being able to walk to my house.

After the roof is fixed from the wind storm it will be ready to show.

Good Sunday morning.

I am getting ready to put my house on the market.  Of course the realtor
said there is too much stuff in my house, and I think he was correct.

I went through and packed many boxes to put in a pod.  In case you don't
know about pods, they are a big storage unit that is put on your property by
a company.  You fill it and they come back and pick it up.  Either they take
it to your new home or to their storage facility.  Mine went to a climate
controlled storage facility.  It will stay there until I move into my next
house.

My daughter and I came up with a marking system to make it easier for the
people packing the pod.  Every box and bin that is going into it has a piece
of red duct tape on every corner.  It is time consuming, but worth it.
Also, I have a color key for where the box will go when I move.  On each
container there will be a strip of colored duct tape down two sides.  Green
is for Christmas, blue for the kitchen, etc.  I will follow this same color
tape system when packing up the rest of the house.  I also made a master
list of all furniture going into the pod, so people would know what to take.

A man from my church works at the fire academy here in Rochester.  He lined
up 5 of his strong young male students to pack the pod.  My son-in-law
supervised in the pod and I supervised in the house.  They had a 12 foot by
8 foot by 8 foot pod packed to the brim in 1 hour and 15 minutes.  They were
such a god sent.

I also am back to work after my heart surgery.  My energy level isn't back
to full strength yet, but I keep on pushing.

I have gone through every single room and closet including the basement and
organized and sorted.  We have made many trips to goodwill.  I keep wanting
to sit down and knit or do another craft, but I just can't.

We had a big wind storm last Wednesday, and my roof was damaged.  Of course,
I can't put the house on the market until it gets fixed.  100,000 homes were
without electricity, many trees fell, and many thousands of homes have roof
damage.  Also, my hot water heater started seriously leaking, so my handyman
replaced it yesterday.

My daughter and I participated in our state affiliate's legislative event
last week.  It was fantastic, and I held up pretty well.  We took the train
to Albany Sunday, learned the issues at dinner, and visited 7 legislators on
Monday and Tuesday.  By the end of Tuesday, I was getting pretty tired.  We
walked miles.

Yesterday a friend came to do mail with me and sort what I call mystery
paper.  I was so excited, because we found my fisherman knits afghan book
with my favorite pattern in it.  I have been looking for that pattern for
many years.  I have made it about four times, but is so complicated that
there is no way I could have remembered it.  When I am making it, it takes
quite a few repetitions through it to memorize it again.  I think I will
knit one as soon as I get moved and settled some.

Hope this isn't too long, but you can see that practically nothing has been
happening around here! HAHAHAHAHA
