But can you get the clay out of the cutter with one hand. I tried it with cookie dough and it stuck in the cutter.

I think it was Henry who suggested using cookie cutters with clay.  I'vedone that a lot and then made the shapes into tree ornaments or put magnetson the back to put on the refrigerator.
