I use old business cards and punch a hole similar to  others..  It’s just 
that business cards are free!
For the freezer I put the card with pen friend label in a samwich type bag 
to protect it from icky sticky things that sometimes leak in a freezer.  The 
pen friend will read the label through the plastic.
Good to share ideas.
