The Loony Loomers on KK have me delighted getting used to this new craft. I
am thinking of seriously getting involved in a new knitting crochet group
called "Chicks with Sticks." Just the name has me fascinated. However they
meet on Tuesday and that is not the best day for me to get away. Still, I
would like to make contact and talk about the group with leadership. 

The group I used to belong to was a prayer shawl group. Nice bunch of gals.
They gave me some gorgeous Home Spun yarn and I made a shrug for a lady I
knew in a nursing home. Here, her daughter in law, my friend, said her
mother in law used to do water colors. The shrug reminded her of her water
colors so she was so pleased to wear it and talk to everyone about her
painting and the blind lady who made the piece for her.  

I too, would like to learn how to do the corner to corner technique. I saw
an afghan and it fascinated me how the stripes went diagonal, south east to
north west across her couch. It has been on my to do list for ages. It looks
like stair steps going across the piece. If the class could be held during
the week 1, 2, or 3,  PM Pacific time that is better for me and taking care
of my husband. Saturdays aroundnoon to 3 PM are better times, Pacific, of
course.
