It's Fall Ya'll!  I remember loving to look for colorful leaves in fact when
in 2nd grade our teacher gave us "Homework"!!!  Say WHAT????  2nd graders do
not get homework!!!!  Our homework was to find one pretty leaf and bring it
in to class the next day.  

I loved making leaf etchings with a pencil and paper.  The outline of the
leaf or leaves came through.

October Contest

Ok, here we go with our new Monthly Contest and the second month of the
first quarterly contest.  Are you ready?

 

Theme:  Fall

Now, how simple and diverse is that?  Did you see that one coming?  Smile!

 

What are your most wonderful memories about this time of year?  Did you go
on hayrides, have campfires, rake leaves with family an then jump in the
middle of the pile?  lol!    We would enjoy hearing your fun stories.  These
stories can be typed up and added to a Scrapbook which can be given as gifts
any time you want. 

 

Do you have a favorite recipe for this time of year?  You know, Pumpkin or
Sweet Potato pie, Pecan Pie, Beef Stew, Chili, etc?  Please share and add to
your community cookbook. Send these recipes to kkcontest2007 at gmail.com
<mailto:kkcontest2007 at gmail.com> .  The recipes will be made available to
all that want them at the end of the month.  You could even use them to make
your own Cookbook which your family could treasure.

 

Do you enjoy football or another sport?  What is your favorite team?

 

What craft ideas can you share using the themes related to fall?  Here are a
few themes: fall colors, pinecones, leaves, pumpkins, gords, something for
cool days and cooler nights.  I feel sure there are so many more, so please
add to the list.  Fall items can even be collected and used to make
beautiful Collages.  Describe your project for us.
