[Nfb-krafters-korner] what I love about autumn

Hello all,

I grew up in the northeast and now live in the Midwest where autumn is quite
enjoyable.

What I like about fall are the colors, smells and sounds. I lost my sight
many years ago but I can still remember the vibrant colors of yellow, red,
orange and purple leaves. They looked so beautiful against the deep blue sky
that often comes in the fall. I picture them in my mind, clearly remembering
them when I am outdoors. Then there is the smell of the leaves themselves,
whether they are on the trees, the ground, or as they are being burned. The
smell of leaves is certainly the smell of fall. Also, the air has a
freshness to it that smells so clean. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to
create an autumn perfume. <Smile> I love the sound of walking through the
crackling leaves. I listen with interest as the wind moves through the
leaves still on the trees and hear some as they drift down from the large
old maples in my yard. I enjoy the sound of the rake as I gather the
leaves together in piles and hope the kids next door will soon be over to
jump into the piles. Fall is a time for me to enjoy before winter forces me
indoors for many months.

Have a great day!!
