[Nfb-krafters-korner] Want To Know Wednesday 10/4/17 Wreaths

Seems to me I heard of someone whose husband was a carpenter by trade. She
made him a wreath with toy hammer, saw and so forth she got from the toy
store. She was particular that the toys look realistic as possible. The sign
on it she painted was "Jesus was a carpenter," or close to that saying.

I personally have seemed them with old fashion toys: dice, toy soldiers,
small Teddy bear, rocking horse. I have seen them with baby dolls dressed in
colorful clothes. My mom made one with holly and Christmas balls she covered
with colorful cloth. She glued the material on the balls them took a fairly
sharp tool and made squares on the ball to simulate quilting. I loved that
large wreath and it sat on one of our walls every Christmas. Sometimes she
would put lights on the wreath as well just to change it up.

I made a macro may wreath. Mom put holly and barries on it and it hung by
her choice on our door for a very long time.

I have seen wreath's with apples as well, red and green plastic apples. Oh,
mom made one for her friend with tiny wrapped up presents all over. That one
was so cute. Save your tiny boxes and use them on the tree as well. Terry,
put some of your miniatures on the boxes, so, so, cute.

Hey see what happens when I have a few sips of coffee, giggle.

Racked me up some points gals.

Becky and something with a rumbly tummy under my desk, Hi goils, wink. Love
Jake

Sorry, I don't know details, but a gal I heard of made a reath for her door
she doesn't use attractive to birds. After having the reath up in different
incarnations, this year a mother bird raised her babies in her reath. She
was over joyed, but she did forget birds a are a little messy.

Mom and babies are off on other adventures.

But neat experamentt that worked.

Hello to all:

Sorry I'm getting this out a little late; I left early this morning and have
been gone most of the day.

Before we get started with the question I want to let you all know about an
opportunity to earn some contest points.

The contest committee will give 25 points to anyone who submits a Want To
Know Wednesday question that is selected. If you want to submit a question
send it to me and if I choose it, I will tell who sent it when I post the
question. I will also send a private message to the individual letting them
know. If the question has a specific answer you must include the answer in
the message you send to me. All messages need to be craft related.

If you wish to submit a question or need any further information please
contact me at jellybeanfarm at gmail.com

Since Sharon did such a wonderful job with the chat on Monday I want to talk
wreaths just a bit longer. If you missed this chat, you missed out on a lot
of wonderful information. I used to always think of wreaths as circles with
an open center and a bow, but now I have a whole new attitude about them.
Ever since the chat I've been thinking of wreath themes and interesting
things that can go on them.

What type of wreath themes have you all thought up?

What interesting objects or materials do you want to use?

Please share your ideas. I hope they are as fun and creative as some of
Sharon's suggestions.

I look forward to reading your responses.

Nella
