I have heard it called a "Pop-Up Class".  Is this the same thing?

OK what is a "Flash Class"?

Well a teacher checks the calendar to be sure no classes are scheduled and 
then it is up to the teacher to advertise the class.  So for around 2 weeks 
you keep the chatter going on the list and you keep track of who let you 
know by sending a n email to the teacher telling her you want to sign up.
It is a great idea to squeeze in a class in like 2 weeks.  There is no sign 
up the teacher keeps track of the ones who send them an email and the 
teacher is the one to encourage their students to remember to sign up.

These classes will be held when a teacher wants to do it and it is up to the 
teacher to either provide written directions or  tell them that it is their 
choice that students take notes or bring a tape recorder  and the teacher 
needs to tell the people if they will provide written directions or the 
teacher has a choice to have the students record the class with their own 
recorders.

So for my Ghost I will provide written directions, but you need to send me 
an email putting the Flash Class & the date in the subject line and email it 
by October 23 by midnight.
