The last two afternoons were beautiful and sunny in the 70's.  I collected
about 65 gords of all different sizes and some variation in shape.  I layed
them out to dry over the winter.  Next summer I hope to make bird houses and
bowls out of them.  

I have a beautiful autumn blaze maple which was at its peak this week.  I
put it in a bout 9 years ago, and every year it gets bigger and better!  I
can't see it, but this year it got lots of comment. 
Today it is raining and 20 degrees colder.

I have just enough sight to enjoy the trees, when they change color!

I remember, in school, drying leaves in a book and learning different kinds.
I enjoyed tricker treat, as a kid.  

A few years ago, in KK, I made a safety pin pumpkin, that I display, at
work.  

When the fall comes around, my craving for items made of pumpkin, comes
back.  I love pumpkin pie, punmpkin bread and cookies.  Even the pumpkin
doenut holes are great!

Fall means cooler weather, state convention, Thanks Giving, shopping for
Christmas gifts and the dred of winter!
