I would try 1 mm.  I have never used the chord, I do not think, unless it was in a kit, but you want it to be able to go through the beads 2 or more times.
We use rather thin wire, so thin chord, too!

Hi, can anybody tell me what thickness of satin cord I need for the beaded snowman and Christmas tree projects please? I am looking online and seem to be able to get it in 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm. Thanks.
