Hi Marianne,

You can buy a cutter.  It looks like a wheel with a crank on the side and a
blade in the middle.  As you crank the yarn through it cuts it.  I think the
length is adjustable also.

Also, you can buy packages of pre-cut single colors in many craft shops.

That is a great suggestion. I could just buy some canvas and some of the
