Harrisville is the company that I was thinking of, they have been around for 
years and years.
Joyce, do they have a Website? I can't find them when I type in Harrisville 
Looms.

These are not the original Harrisville Looms which are made out of metal not
plastic and besides that no loops come with it.  Also I am not sure which
loom you purchased, but Harrisville looms come in 2 sizes.  They have the
small loom like this and they have the 10" by 10" metal loom.  Their loops
are 100% cotton and heavy enough that when the potholder is made you won't
burn your hand.

Beware polyester loops are much cheaper, but with the heat they can melt and
burn your hands.

So you get what you pay for.

Joyce Kane knows how to weave.
She used to use a triangle loom for shawls and she tought how to make pot
holders.  The loom and loops for the pot holder loom are expensive, now a
days!

Hi, I'm not sure this message went through when I asked it earlier, but does
anybody here weave?  I''ve used weaving sticks, a potholder loom, and a
small kids' loom that I'm not sure the name of it and the company is no
longer in business.  I want to weave dish cloths, placemats, very small
rugs, and such, and I have no sighted help.  I don't understand how some
weaving looms I've heard about work, so I'm wondering what is the easiest
loom to get for a totally blind beginner.  Thanks in advance and have a
blessed day.
