True.  Hey, when you said cut it in half, I thought of cutting the circle with the hole in it in half, put them with the solid sides being back to back and make a butterfly out of it.  Ribbon for antennas or  more color on the wings,  shape the wings with the tissue paper.

Tammy, you are so creative.

You could also cut the plate in half and connect the rounded edges.  Then
make a ribbon handle, then decorate the plate to make a flat basket.  This
could  hang on a wall or door.  It could be used to put papers in.

How about a wreath.  You could make flowers out of the paper, make a pretty
bow with the ribbon and maybe after removing the center of the plate, wrap
the paper and ribbon around the plate.

I could fold the paper plate in half, use the paper to make a flower to
place on the front of that plate, use ribbon to form a handle and as a strip
for decoration.  I now have a coffee cup that I can put on my refrigerator
to put coupons in.
