I shared this with some of you on the chat last night but thought I'd share it on the list. I turned in the tiny Easter Baskets that I taught and entered them in the category of Holiday Decorations. I received a White or 3rd place ribbon. I turned in a Wicker Basket that I made a couple of years ago when Joyce taught the class. This was a basket that the lady designed for us I think. It was my first time making a basket. I got a White or 3rd place. (Some of you might be asking why I turned it in this year, when I made it a couple of years ago? I will tell you. I turned it in two years ago and for some reason, it never got judged. When I went to look for the basket during the fair, I could never find it. When it was check out time, I noticed my basket being used. It had pens, paperclips inside of it sitting on the check-out table. I asked about it and said that was my basket. They apologized and said it never got judged and they did not know where it came from. I guess the entry tag fell off of it. The worker told me to enter it the following year. I did not enter the following year so decided to enter it this year.)

I also turned in some dehydrated items. I did very well receiving a 1st place Blue Ribbon for my Apples, Oranges and bananas. A funny thing. Alyssa (my daughter) entered the exact same items dehydrated at the exact some time and batch and she won blue ribbons too, but her Oranges won Reserve Champion. She picked up the jars of fruit yesterday and called me today and said, "Mom, can I eat the oranges?" She loves dehydrated oranges.
