Loom knitting is using yarn to create different items on the round or 
rectangular (actually now they have many shapes of these looms.)  The looms 
have pegs on them and yarn is wrapped around the pegs and removed in 
different ways to create a woven design.

Quilling is using strips of precut paper and rolling and crimping it to for 
different shapes.  You create pictures using different colored paper and 
different shapes.

Hi cindy,

Sorry I had to take another look at the calendar before replying back to 
you. I checked more specifically on each project and there were more that 
were beginner than what I initially thought. A couple of classes I was 
really interested in was the celtic cable dishcloth and the loom knit baby 
sweater. Those are ones I had looked at where I needed to know more. The 
others I was interested in were beginners.

I do have some questions though.
what is loom knitting and what is quilling?

I was going through the calendar, and there seemed to be a lot of 
interesting crafts planned, but a lot of them seem to be a bit more advanced 
than what I am at this point. Will there be a start from scratch beginners 
class? Or could someone tutor me to help me catch up? lol
