Well Cindy kind of took an idea I had. Every room of this house has a
ceiling fan. Personally, I think they all should be controlled with a wall
switch, but they aren't All but one has two cords. One for fan and one for
the light. I would make a variety of pulls using tp tubes covered with
coordinating colors, use wooden beads in some pattern. One pattern for light
cords and a different pattern for fan cords. 

Heather, my daughter, and I went to High Brook Lodge in Ohio one summer. It
was a camping session for families with blind kids. They had workshops for
the parents. One was on crafts. One of the activities was making a calage
from the junk in a box. It was really fun.

I had another use for tp and pt tubes when Heather was a toddler. She kept
trying to play with the electrical cords. I taped the tubes together, fed
the cords through the tube, and taped it to the wall. I would only want to
decorate these tubes if they were in plane sight. 

You could also make some cute original dolls. Large beads could be the head,
sewing small pieces of cloth together to make arms, upper body, and legs. If
the body material was big enough, you could gather it in the middle to make
a gathered skirt. You could use short pieces of yarn for hair or make a a
couple of brades with the yarn for hair. Gee, I wish I could sit down with a
box of stuff now.

As usual I'm late with Want To Know Wednesday.

 

Everyone had such good ideas last week, I'm going to give you another craft
challenge.

 

You need to use 3 or more of the following items to create anything you
wish.  You are allowed glue or needle and thread to hold your master piece
together.

 

Toilet paper tube

Fabric scraps

Left over yarn from other projects

Glitter

Large wooden beads

 

These are just random items that popped into my little sun baked brain;
there is no rhyme or reason to them.

 

I can't wait to see what brilliant ideas all you great people have.
