Nella,
What a fun challenge! I would select a mint plant. I would plant it in a tea cup that I had hot glued to a matching saucer. I would crochet a small bag to hold a tea bag or 2. I would crochet a doilie to go under it. I would even crochet some placemats to set my nice hot cup of hot tea on. If iwas early enough I would crochet a gift bag to set my gifts in.

Toodles!
Tammy

Happy Wednesday to all you crafters out there.

Do we have you in the Christmas spirit yet?

This is our last Christmas in August question. There has been a lot of talk
about gardening on the list and Monday night chat was about Christmas on a
budget. One year when I had very little money I grew some herb plants and
gave them as gifts. I used some containers I already had for pots and found
some at a thrift store. Everyone seemed to like their little herb plants

I also like to use herb plants for hostess and house warming gifts.

So here is my challenge to you.

You are only allowed to purchase plants as gifts. If you're feeling
ambitious, you're also welcome to grow them.

Now I want you to go through your home and find containers that you can use
as pots and you can be as creative as you like.

Once you have selected your containers you are encouraged to use any of your
crafting supplies to decorate them. You can make them as elaborate or as
simple as you please.

What plants did you choose, what containers will you use and how will you
decorate them.

I'm hoping to get some good gift ideas.

Nella
