[NFB-Krafters-Korner] The black needles on my crank knitting machine?

Hi,

I got me a king-size addi knitting machine. Maybe no one on this list is familiar with it, but basically it’s around with hook-like needles and notches between them that, as you crank, goes round and round as the needles alternate up and down as you first thread it, then continues as it adds rows. So, if I’m knitting in a circular pattern, I need to know how to tell when a row ends and another one begins. There are three needles that are black in color that need to be positioned at the front where the tail is first attached via a vice. If those are indicators for this, what would you use to mark them? Once I’m at the ends, I can then use a counter bracelet. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
