Ari, there was a book that was available from the NLS called Knitting In 
Plain English by Maggie Regetti. Check with your local library to see if it 
is still available.
Also, are there any local knitting groups in your area such as at a church 
that you can join? Terry and I belong to a knitting group at our Church.

Ari,
Look on bookshare for knitting books.  You should find other good
books that will be helpful.
