Put cardboard inside to give it a foundation.  I made a stocking with Cathy,
last year and put  paper in the toe, a paper weight in the bottom and
braille paper inside the leg, so it would stand up.  I filled it with fake
candy canes, resting over the edge!
How about the star for the top of the tree and the dog, resting below,
waiting for Santa, and give him a santa hat!

I just finished crocheting a star to put on top of my Tiny Yule tree, but
I'm thinking it would be even more fun to make a Labrador to put up there.

I got a couple crochet patterns for stuffed dogs.  I'm thinking I could make
the pattern, stuff the head and paws, but not the body,put something
(paper?) between the stuffed and unstuffed parts, and put it up on top of my
tree.  Any thoughts?
