 It takes a lot of practice and it is expensive to get into.

The drop spindle is the least expensive to give a try.  You can get a drop
spindle for $40 and up unless you make your own as she described with a
couple of CDs and rod of wood with a hook on one end.  As she also mentioned
the Babe spinning wheel is the least expensive starting at $300.  

I have bought the fiber you spin on EBay that comes cleaned, dyed and formed
into flat rolls or pieces.  Then you need to pull a strip from the roll and
start spinning on a drop spindle or spinning wheel.  I found this on EBay.
I didn't know enough about fiber and that is a hole other class.

I loved last night's chat, but it made me realize I need to do a lot more
research before getting started.

I'm embarrassed to say I thought it would be easier than it really is. Lol

Spinning is a project for the future.

I loved the chat tonight. I know some about spinning but have had no
interest in it until now. I'm kind of curious  about getting a drop spindle
now.
