Jessica,
Are you wrapping the yarn around the peg to tight.  Remember when using the looms you should be able to lift the yarn up and over the peg easily or you are wrapping the yarn with too much tension on it.  

Also, are you using the tool or your fingers to pick the thread up with and place over the peg?  Try both methods, you may have better luck with one over the other.

I'm having serious issues with this class.
I can't get the yarn over the loop.
I have a 20-peg loom, is that an issue?
