Ashley,
We just started a beginners crochet class and if you are interested would join KK and try again with us.  

Other crafts are bead projects, origami, plastic canvas, loom knitting, quilling and other fun projects.  Check out our website and see what classes are being offered in the weeks to come.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I appreciate the inforrmation and I will be checking into that.

My mom tried teaching me how to crochet when I was younger, but I could never successfully get past the chain stitch. Now I would like to try knitting. I have the needles and the yarn, but could never find anyone to teach me. My mom did crochet for so long, she wasn't able to grasp knitting.

I had vision up until I was 11, and lost it due to an eye disease, but before the vision loss, I liked to draw and paint. I haven't done that in many many years.

What other kinds of craft things do you all do?

Sorry, you missed this class, but there are many more classes coming up that I hope you will enjoy.

I would like to give you a warm welcome from all of us on The NFB Krafters Division listserv.

We unofficially refer to this corner of the world as Krafters Korner. You will notice that both the division name as well as the nickname begin with the letter K. this was done to honor our founder Joyce Kane who began our NFB division and listserv in 2008.

You will soon find that this is a busy and friendly list where all things craft-related are discussed. You will also notice that there will be announcements about and discussion concerning, our Monday night chats and classes. Our chats are open to you to join via conference call whenever you choose. The call-in number is 605-475-4000 and the access code is 966659 followed by the number sign. Classes are only available to our paid members; however, you are welcome to take one class free to see if you might enjoy our classes. They are taught by our members who are visually impaired, and specifically designed for the needs of our members. If you enjoy a class, you might wish to join the division as a paid member and have the opportunity to take as many classes during the year as you would like. We have a number of classes each month, via conference call or email, from
which   to choose. To become a member the cost is $20 per year, from July to
July. If you would like to become a member, go to our membership page, krafterskorner.org/membership  and sign up using your PayPal account or credit card.

You may also wish to visit our website, krafterskorner.org to learn more about our current and past classes as well as other things happening in the division.

Meanwhile, please introduce yourself on the listserv and let us know what kinds of crafts you enjoy doing and/or would like to learn. Once again, welcome to our listserv.
