You can create pictures like Kaila was referring to.  Some are taking a white canvas and putting a decal or specific shaped sticker on the canvas.  Then you melt your Crayola's over the top of the picture.  Once dried, you lift the sticker and you still have the shape outlined with the melted colors.  

In Kaila's idea you glue Crayola's on your canvas (say in a heart shape) then run your hair dryer over them and they begin to melt and drip their color down the canvas.

I just learned the other day off of Pinterest that you can melt Crayola's in your hot glue guns.

 I craft with my kids my daughter is 10 and my son is almost 8.  I am teaching my daughter how to lloom knit  and so far she has made a headband.  When we find a time when both of the kids are home with no friends over, we were going to do Cran art. You place pieces of Cran at the top of a canvas or poster board and use a blow dryer to melt The crayon down the page. I’m really excited to do this with them it sounds like a lot of fun.
