The largest selection of fabrics and all types is on:
Fabric.com

I have purchased bolts, yardage , batting, quilt fabrics, t-shirt fabric and
ribbing and you name it, they have it.

They give you an idea of what colors are in the prints [at least they did]
Sign up on their list as they have sales every week.  Best of all shipping
use to be free for orders of $35, but I think they have gone up to $49 for
free shipping.

When you get into it they have like a discount area that are marked down and
some still have a good amount of yardage left and others may have less then
5 yards.

A little secret is their biggest sale is the Friday after Thanksgiving and
that is when I have gotten bolts of fabric.

They have a lot of quilting cotton fabrics, knits, and all of that.

Does anyone buy fabric online, and does it work out well?  I don't know of
any fabric stores near where I live, and the one I know of in Manhattan has
beautiful stuff, but too expensive for a first try.

I was thinking I might find some reasonably priced jersey or cotton at
Amazon or somewhere and try to make myself a summer top.

And, if people have bought fabric at Amazon, could you recommend what to
search for?
