Hi Cathy, there were 3 people in Joyces mitten class. Terry P, Bernice and 
me.
Speaking for myself, I was very disappointed that this class was cancelled, 
and I am looking into other sources to teach myself how to make these 
mittens.
I am not trying to start or get into any fights, I'm just saying how I feel.

I don't know of any books off-hand on learning to knit with circular
needles, but perhaps if you search the internet you could find a tutorial. I
know from the time when I took Joyce's class before, that it is something
that one really needs to hear have described. I took the class then had to
email back and forth with Joyce to really get the hang of it. Working with
two needles is easy once you understand it, but it is the understanding of
how to get started that takes some time.

I am sad you were unable to learn the technique this time. Our general rule
is that at least three students must sign up for a class to hold the class.
You definitely should have been notified privately.
I also have different boxes for various lists I am on, so only if I am
written to privately can someone be assured that I will get to read their
email.
