Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Healthy candy Concotions

Hi all,

Since this is the month for sending candy recipes, I just thought I’d throw in some ideas.

I’m glad to know that you can make sweets with healthier ingredients! , Here are some ideas using whole pitted dates, dark chocolate, and peanut butter. Did you know that even a one-inch square of dark chocolate a day is actually healthy? As long as we don’t eat more than a golf ball size of peanut butter, it’s okay for a day too. The dates would be the healthy sugar substitute.. I don’t have exact recipes, as I haven’t actually tried them with melted dark chocolate, but I think you can decide how you like them best.

Date drops: dip whole pitted dates into melted dark chocolate. Add some peanut butter and/or nuts, if desired.

dark Chocolate Peanut Buttercups: Mix melted dark chocolate with peanut butter to make your own peanut buttercups.. Add bits of sweet fruit if desired.

Hope you enjoy trying these. Please let me know if you like them!
