[Nfb-krafters-korner] Pop Up Class problems

I like the pop up classes. They are fun and give me something new to make. What I don’t care for is all the drama over a mistake. If my schedule has something I consider as a higher priority, I just make that choice and go on my way. Why get on list and whine? I “assume” all of these classes are for fun and provide the opportunity for blind people to realize we can do craft projects like our sighted peers. If I am incorrect, please let me know. It won’t be the first time I was wrong.

Take care!
Tammy

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Pop Up Class problems

I am sorry I am speaking my thoughts on these pop up classes. The rule AGAIN
is two week notice before class is held. I am hoping that Cindy's class for
Egg is on Saturday, March 24, that is the email message I have saved now it
is the 25, changed by mistake or not under the rule. It is Extremely
difficult to change plans over a holiday week than most times. Krafters have
been considerate in not scheduling thigs on Christian holidays and Palm
Sunday and Easter Sunday are major holidays for me. So sorry, here comes my
whine. Sign up classes are up on web, time to get your supplies and sign up
and prepare for the class. Everything is taken care for us to keep things in
order. Pop up we have to notify the teacher, teacher has to write back
things change and move and nothing is stable. I do not like this platform,
it was to be simple and easy for the teacher, but the poor students, what a
mess. I realize things happen and things have to be changed but this month
pop up classes are still a mess. The teacher knows what is going on but the
students just waits. Sorry, this is me, but if this keeps happening , if by
error or otherwise I will bring it up to stop or limit pop classes. Not
being mean but things need to be done in order. I would like to hear other
comments about these pop up classes we added this year.

Terry K
