Hi, I think I can help out here.  Teri explained about the loops.  My example will be this way.  Picture the post of a stitch being like a trunk of a tree.  You take your hook and go from front of the tree trunk to the back of the trunk to make your stitch for a front post stitch and back to front for back post stitches.  You are making the stitch which is most commonly a double crochet in front or back post and it will hug the stitch.
It will be slightly lower than the other stitch.  Respond to me privately and we can swap numbers and I can talk to you more about it if you want.  I wish you the best and have a blessed day.

I am no perfectionist at crochet, but after you do a row of crochet of single, double half or triple, each stitch has 2 cross bars.  Usually you pick up these, as one when doing crochet.
When doing a frunt loop pick up the bar closest to you.
The back loop is the one farthest from you.
Stitching in front or back loop, makes your work, kind of ribbed.  It rises and falls depending what loop you use.

Can anyone here explain in detail how to do a front post double crochet, and a back post double crochet? Yes, I Googled it and there are instructions.
But I have never seen how these look, and if any of you know how they are done, I think your description might help me more.
